People are most familiar with the hikes in the gorge located on the Oregon side. But some of the best hikes in the gorge are located on the Washington side and Dog Mountain is definately at the top of the list. There are no waterfalls on this hike, but it has some of the most breath taking views of the gorge from either side. This trail is rated difficult due to the 2800' elevation gain from the trailhead at the parking lot. And don't forget to stop at Walking Man's Brewery in Stevenson, Wa for a nice cold one on your way home. .
